This year it is planned to supply around 345 thousand decalitres of champagne and sparkling wines of Kuban producers to the countries of near and far abroad.
Kuban still holds leadership across the country in terms of the production of winery products, in particular, champagne. In Q1 this year the production made 991.8 thousand decalitres that is 1.6% higher as compared to the similar period of the past year.
– The share of Kuban producers of champagne within the Russian volume makes 36 percents. In addition, this product is supplied to the international markets – as reported in the Ministry of Agriculture and Processing industry of the region.
The export of winery products is performed within the framework of implementation of the national project «International cooperation and export». In 2024 the region will have to increase supplies up to 445 thousand decalitres for the total amount of 7.4 million dollars.
For the reminder: over the last five years the volumes of export of champagne and sparkling wines in the region has increased 4.2 times. Krasnodar region holds leadership in terms of the volumes of cultivating and processing grapes. In the passing year more than 212 thousand tons of amber berry were collected. Around 22 million decalitres of winery products were produced out of this volume.
