banks have increased the issuance of mortgage loans in the first half of 2016
by 44%.
Borrowers have provided 389.8 thousand. Residential mortgage loans totaling
664.5 billion rubles. The growth amounted to 44.2% compared to the first half
of 2015.
The largest volume of loans granted in the past few years accounted for
borrowers in Moscow, the Moscow region, St. Petersburg and the Tyumen region
So said the head of Sberbank German Gref, mortgage rates in Russia could fall
below 11% in 2017. However, in his opinion, it is better not to wait for 11% of
the growth in housing prices.
