Russia 1 October lifted a ban on the supply of fruit and vegetables from
Egypt.
Head of Rosselkhoznadzor Sergey Dankvert explained that with regard to
potatoes, this measure continues to operate. It is assumed that the question of
deliveries of potatoes can be decided in October-November.
Egypt is one of the largest suppliers of fruit and vegetable production in the
Russian Federation. In 2015, it was imported 522 thousand. T, of which 307 ths.
